If you’re planning a trip to Bolivia, you’re in for a treat. Bolivian cuisine is so good. The fruits were so fresh. I have excellent memories. Especially in Santa Cruz, where I stayed for almost 3 weeks. I’ve posted a complete guide to everything you need to know before visiting Santa Cruz, and to make it even better I’m now including a list of the restaurants, cafés and bars I visited in Santa Cruz.

Cafés
Ateneo Libreria café
I tested this café in the Ventura Mall, but they have other cafés around town. They have a bookstore café concept. My sandwich was good!
Café Typica
This is probably one of my favorite places to go during my stay. The place is just so cute! They have several cafés in the town of Santa Cruz. Each café is tastefully decorated, and you can even try local specialties!
Restaurants
El Arriero
I really liked this place. The food was very good, but it’s also the location that’s nice. A large, open but sheltered terrace. And room for a big group!
El Cuartito
We tried this restaurant at the end of our stay, and it was a very good meal. Really nice on the terrace with the band playing music next door.
Botanica Restaurant
I loved my experience there. I ate by myself, but was able to chat with the waitress. She was really nice about helping me understand certain items on the menu. My Spanish was a bit rusty! The place is also super pretty. If you like good food and nice pictures of the place, you’ll love it!
Restaurant Habito
I had really liked this restaurant just down from my AirBnb. But I can’t confirm if it’s still open and there’s no exact address. It’s in the Equipetrol neighborhood, it was good and the portions were generous.
Restaurant Aviator
I think the name gives you an idea of the theme of this restaurant: aviation. It’s really big and the building is impressive. The food was very good, it was a good noisy but maybe that was our fault with our table of 40!
Bars
SBC Rooftop
If you’re looking for a hot rooftop to have a good time with friends, this is the place for you. When you arrive on the street it doesn’t look like much, but once you get upstairs you’ll find a really nice place.
I hope this little list of restaurants helps you discover a little more of Santa Cruz! I’ve limited myself to the places I’ve visited, but there really are plenty of restaurants, cafés and bars in Santa Cruz, so don’t hesitate to explore. Enjoy your stay.
